Personal data displayed on this site
This site displays publicly available information about Members of Parliament, including their names, photographs, voting records, parliamentary expense claims, registered financial interests, and election results. All of this data is sourced from official public records and is published under the Open Parliament Licence and the Open Government Licence v3.0.
The legal basis for processing this personal data is Article 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR: processing necessary for a task carried out in the public interest. The publication of MPs' official records serves the democratic purpose of enabling voters to hold their elected representatives to account.
We also rely on the journalism exemption under Section 15 and Schedule 2, Part 5 of the Data Protection Act 2018, as this site publishes information on matters of public interest with a view to public accountability.

Disclaimer
Data accuracy. While every effort has been made to present data accurately, errors in processing, aggregation, or presentation may occur. This website does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any information displayed. Users should verify all data against the original sources linked above.
Fair comment and honest opinion. Where this website expresses views or characterisations of voting records, expense claims, or registered interests, these constitute honest opinion based on publicly available facts, as protected under Section 3 of the Defamation Act 2013.
Public interest. This website publishes information on matters of public interest within the meaning of Section 4 of the Defamation Act 2013. The voting records, expense claims, registered financial interests, and election results of Members of Parliament are matters of legitimate public concern.
No malicious intent. This website is not intended to harass, defame, or cause harm to any individual. All data relates to the public duties and public expenditure of elected officials. No private information is published.
Expense claims context. Parliamentary expense claims published via IPSA are legitimate allowances provided to MPs to support their parliamentary duties. The inclusion of expense data does not imply that any claim was improper, fraudulent, or unjustified. All claims shown have been approved and paid by IPSA under the Parliamentary Standards Act 2009 unless specifically noted as rejected.
Registered interests. Information from the Register of Members' Financial Interests is published by Parliament and declared by Members in accordance with the House of Commons Code of Conduct. The inclusion of this data does not imply any wrongdoing, conflict of interest, or improper influence.
Asylum and immigration data. Asylum seeker figures are sourced from the Home Office Immigration System Statistics which publishes data by local authority, not by parliamentary constituency. Constituency-level figures are estimated by proportionally distributing local authority totals across constituencies using the ONS geographic lookup (July 2024 boundaries). These are indicative estimates, not exact counts.
Legal basis. This website relies upon: the truth defence (Section 2, Defamation Act 2013); the honest opinion defence (Section 3); the public interest defence (Section 4); the right to freedom of expression (Article 10, ECHR, as incorporated by the Human Rights Act 1998); and the principle of open justice and parliamentary transparency.
